A total transformation in my mobility
I’m 72 and in the past 9 months, I’ve had two full knee replacements, both performed by Mr. Stitson. The result has been a total transformation in my mobility.
Within 4 weeks of the second operation, I did a 4 mile hilly road walk. Two days later I did 6 miles and then since then I’ve done several more lengthy walks including along the Cornish Coast Path, something I’ve not been able to do for some 15 years.
Recovery from both operations was great. I was off the crutches after 3 weeks the first time and after 2 weeks the second time.
Let me add, that the first two weeks were painful and difficult, but the reason I am writing this is to encourage you, should you have the same operation, to have the determination to get through that initial period. The end result is well worth the effort.
